FAST funded paper

Angelman sibling and researcher Dr Sally Hartmanis has authored an important paper on the impact of Angelman syndrome on parental productivity concluding that caring for a child with AS has a significant impact on the productivity of affected parents, with a large associated impact on the broader Australian economy.

This paper was supported with funding from FAST Australia and compliments a previous paper, also funded by FAST, The Cost of Raising Individuals with Fragile X or Chromosome 15 Imprinting Disorders in Australia.

This work is incredibly important as we look to the future in advocating for reimbursement and access to therapeutics.
